Texture test

Playing around with textures. I'm pretty happy with the feel of the textures but I think I might change some of the colours around (The black for the jacket seems too dark) Also gunna play with some of the minor things like line thickness etc still.

Final Model turn around

So I finished the model. Spent a while mucking around with the bag trying to get it to work using the cloth modifier and finealy go it. Added more details like the zip and the rope on his pants. Might redo them later since they're actually a separate model (Just a spline) and pretty easy to change around. They seem too loose at the moment. Also a close up of the head as someone asked for it.
Not really to happy with the head. It's much better then my last model but still not great. Not that fussed though as you won't really see it close up in the final product.

Second go at modeling.

Started again from scratch. I'm much happier with the results. I had a much better base work to start with this time.

First attempt at modeling

So this was my first go at modeling him, not really happy with it. I think my main problem here was that I had a really dodgy turn around of him that I used (which I can no longer find)

Run Man concept.

So first things first, the charecter design I ended up settling with.
I liked the idea of giving him the shoulder bag cause I thought it would look cool flowing behind him as he ran, also it gives me the opportunity to play around with simulations.

Well fuck me.

Google decided that something was evil about my last blog and has deleted it and the gmail account it was registerd with for no reason.

So um, yay for them? Well here goes again I guess.
For those playing at home, this was a blog mainly created for myself so that I could keep track of my progress as I tought myself 3D. Knowing I can post stuff here keeps me motivated etc.

So to anyone out there, sit back and enjoy.
